Ceuta denied repatriations of minors. 73, 87 and 327 are not the same figure

On 31 October RTVE wrote that the Government of Ceuta denies that any minor has been repatriated. The same day EFE attributes to Ramírez 73 repatriation reports with no reply from Morocco. RTVE recalls the 87 files Saiz gave that week. RTVE attributes the 327 spoken of by a Melilla official to other outlets. They are not added or compared as if they measured the same thing. The Objective writes 180 relocated; EFE writes 181. Those are not averaged either.

  • RTVE quotes the presidency councillor: “There is no repatriation that has taken place in the city of Ceuta.” EFE attributes to Ramírez that “no minor has been repatriated” and that reports have been opened “in 73 cases and no reply from the Kingdom of Morocco is on record.”
  • RTVE: the Ceuta government speaks of 73 proceedings and Saiz, at that week’s press conference, of 87 files sent to Morocco. Those are the two figures the outlet sets side by side. The 87 were already on the 27 October entry. They are not subtracted from the 73.
  • RTVE: Melilla’s third deputy president, Daniel Ventura, spoke of 327 repatriations in Ceuta and attributed the figure to other outlets. That is a figure stated in Melilla about Ceuta, not a figure from the Government of Ceuta. It is not added to 73 or to 87.
  • The Objective, 31 October, writes that 180 minors have been relocated. EFE, on the 30th, writes 181 transferred to other regions. Those are two pieces. 180 is not averaged with 181.
