On 30 October EFE wrote that the Government of Ceuta raised the number of minors in care to 3,619, with overcrowding of 12,380 percent. Another EFE piece the same day writes 3,560. On 31 October EFE attributes 3,626 and 12,400 percent to Gaitán, RTVE writes 3,636 and El Español writes 3,626. The Objective writes 3,619 and 12,380 percent. Each figure stays with its piece. They are not averaged and none is chosen as official.
- EFE via Infobae, 30 October, figures the outlet attributes to the Ceuta executive: it “raised this Friday to 3,619 the number of minors in care” and overcrowding of “12,380 percent” that “multiplies by 125 the ordinary capacity”, put at 29 children.
- EFE, balance of the same 30 October: it “put this Friday at 3,560 the minors under guardianship” and “last week there were 3,300”. That is another piece and another figure on the same day. It is not merged with 3,619.
- EFE, 31 October, attributes to Gaitán “a total of 3,626 minors” and “overcrowding of 12,400 percent”. El Español, the same day, writes that the councillors’ balance “puts at 3,626 the minors under guardianship”. Those are two attributions of the same number, not one merged figure, and they are not averaged with 12,380 percent.
- RTVE, 31 October: “Ceuta currently has 3,636 minors under guardianship, according to the Ceuta government.” That is the figure in that piece. It is not merged with 3,619, 3,560 or 3,626.
- The Objective, 31 October: the 17 local facilities host 3,619 young people and the percentage is 12,380 percent. That is that outlet’s wording. A matching number does not make it the same figure as EFE’s of 30 October.
