On 2 September the FEMP called gatherings; RTVE puts Cibeles at about 50,000, according to the Delegation

The FEMP, whose president is María José García-Pelayo, called them for 20:00 at town-hall doors, in support of Ceuta. The government criticised the call as «partidista» (partisan). Slogans at Cibeles, which RTVE does not present as findings: «Pedro Sánchez, dimisión» and «Pedro Sánchez, a prisión». RTVE cites police charges at Cibeles late in the day. The Cibeles figure is the Government Delegation’s, via RTVE. No unattributed national total is used here.

• The FEMP wrote on 25 August that it was calling gatherings in support of the Autonomous City on 2 September, Ceuta Day, at 20:00, at the doors of town halls.
• RTVE, Government Delegation, for Cibeles only: at the gathering in Madrid’s plaza de Cibeles, about 50,000 people attended, according to the Government Delegation.
• Europa Press, in a photo caption: more than 260 Spanish municipalities were called. That is a count of municipalities called, not of people attending.
