On 27 de agosto, hundreds of residents blocked for more than two hours the passage of a Red Cross truck carrying food to Trampolín beach. The protest took place without incident, and the vehicle was finally able to continue after the Police asked that it be allowed to pass. RTVE reported the same day a protest in which shacks at Benítez beach were burned and destroyed, police charges, and that a Red Cross vehicle's entry toward Trampolín was aborted at the police's request. That is a different account from EFE's, which describes a blockade of more than two hours without incidents and a truck that was eventually allowed through; they are not merged. Neither this EFE piece nor this RTVE piece gives a number of people detained or of wounded soldiers. Another EFE piece the same day has spoken of twelve migrants arrested and of four soldiers in the vehicle. That piece’s lead does not say they were wounded. COPE headlined that four soldiers were wounded. They are not merged.
- The truck was heading to the Trampoline to distribute food.
- The protest was peaceful and had a police presence.
- The vehicle was able to continue after the officers requested that it be allowed to pass.
- The participants expressed criticism of the Red Cross and of the prolongation of the situation at El Trampolín.
