The Government declared a situation of interest for National Security in Ceuta and approved a declaration of resources

On 26 August 2026 the official gazette published Royal Decree 681/2026 of 25 August, declaring a situation of interest for National Security in Ceuta, and Royal Decree 705/2026 of 26 August, approving the declaration of resources for that situation.

• RD 681/2026 defines the crisis as the stay in Ceuta of a large number of people in an irregular situation after the influx of 30 July 2026, which disrupts the ordinary functioning of the administrations.
• RD 705/2026 approves the resources that may be used, including capacities of Foreign Affairs, the Presidency, Defence, Finance and the Interior, according to the official text.
• This entry does not list every asset or claim that all of them were deployed: the decree authorizes their use.
