On 25 October Mujeres Caballas marched in Madrid; the Delegation says 30,000, in different wordings

Mujeres Caballas called it, from the Paseo del Prado to the plaza de las Cortes. President Juan Jesús Vivas attended. The slogan is attributed, not a finding: «Ceuta se planta en Madrid». No attendance total of the organisers’ own has been found. No incidents or arrests are cited. The nearly one thousand Ceuta residents who travelled, and the 15,000 migrants Vivas says remain in the city, are not attendance figures and are not merged with the Delegation’s 30,000.

  • Government Delegation, according to RTVE: thousands of people — 30,000, according to the Government Delegation — marched in Madrid that Sunday.
  • Government Delegation in Madrid, according to Europa Press: around 30,000 people, according to figures from the Government Delegation in Madrid. Europa Press adds that they read a manifesto that set a deadline for their demands: thirty days for the changes to take place.
  • Government Delegation, according to El Mundo with an EFE piece: about 30,000 demonstrators, according to the Government Delegation. This is not averaged with the other two wordings: they are three ways of citing the Delegation.
  • El Mundo and EFE, on a different figure from Vivas, not attendance: Vivas put at 15,000 the migrants still in the city.
  • RTVE, organisers, on buses, not on the total: according to the organisers, several buses were chartered from cities including Alicante, Granada, Seville, Málaga and Talavera de la Reina.
  • Ceuta Informa, 26 October, a note from the City, on those who travelled from Ceuta, not on Madrid’s total: Vivas highlighted the effort of the organisers and of the nearly one thousand Ceuta residents who travelled to Madrid.
  • ABC: everything took place in a peaceful atmosphere.
