Fact

RTVE reported that Moroccan warships entered Ceuta's waters during the July entry

On 12 October 2026 RTVE reported, citing an El País story and a confirmation by Pedro Sánchez to journalists, that Moroccan warships entered Ceuta's waters during the entry of 30 and 31 July. RTVE says the Navy sent a frigate. Units that piece does not name are not named here.

  • RTVE writes that Sánchez confirmed the fact in a press huddle at the Royal Palace at which RTVE was present, and attributes to him: «between two neighboring countries, such occasional facts exist».
  • RTVE also attributes to him that «the navies spoke» and that cooperation between them «is fluid, apart from that fact».
  • The piece says the Navy sent a frigate. It does not give the name of each ship.
  • RTVE describes the July entry as «more than 70,000» people. That is this piece's wording, not the 72,000 of 28 August or the CENIF range.
